SATA Air Açores readjusts its operation between August 06 and 23

The airline SATA Air Açores, responsible for interisland connections in the Azores archipelago, informs that it will use a Swiftair ATR 72-500, under the ACMI regime, to mitigate the impact on its operation resulting from the temporary unavailability of a company's Bombardier Q400 equipment, which is undergoing unscheduled maintenance.

Given the difficulties experienced globally in aeronautical material chains, which prevent the downtime of this aircraft from being optimized, and the need to ensure the maintenance of the level of service to passengers, the hiring of this ACMI is considered the best option.

The ATR 72-500 began its operation today, August 6, with its first commercial flight SP436 taking off from Ponta Delgada, So Miguel Island, at 7:00 a.m. and landing on Pico Island at 8:00 a.m. The operation is expected to extend until August 23rd.

Passengers with bookings for these flights are being notified by the airline.

SATA Air Açores regrets any inconvenience this situation may cause to its customers' travel plans.
