The Guy Friends Day and Girlfriends Day (Dia dos Amigos and Dia das Amigas, in the Azores) mark the beginning of Carnival festivities in the Azorean islands. The traditional celebrations have been an excellent excuse for friends to enjoy the pleasure of getting together around a table to strengthen friendship bonds. This year, due to the pandemic situation, the festivities on the islands may not be the same. Still, Azores Airlines wishes to bring onboard the beautiful tradition, offering the famous "Malassada" (a traditional Carnival season delicacy) to all passengers. The courtesy takes place on Guy Friends Day, Girlfriends Day, and will also be served on Carnival Tuesday. In addition to the pleasure of presenting one of the Islands of the Archipelago of the Azores' various friendly traditions, it is also a way to thank all passengers for their loyalty.
