Azores Airlines offered twelve children institutionalized at Lar da Mãe de Deus (São Miguel, Azores) the possibility of traveling by plane for the first time.
The one-day trip included a visit to the Oceanário de Lisboa, where children could marvel at the most varied marine species in more than 30 aquariums and meet in person Vasco, the well-known Oceanário mascot, named in reference to the Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama.
This first-time trip by air and land was accompanied by a welcoming team made up of members of Lar da Mãe de Deus and SATA Group.
The children of Lar da Mãe de Deus, as well as all younger passengers who traveled with us on June 1st, received personalized flight certificates signed by the flight captain. To make this trip with us even more special, we offered a badge specially designed for little pilots and a themed puzzle, which not only helped spending time on board, but also served as a souvenir of this unforgettable day!
