- The airline will launch the connection between Ponta Delgada and Milan and resume direct flights between Ponta Delgada and London.
Next June, Azores Airlines will add to its current offer of flights to Europe, connections between Ponta Delgada (Azores) and London (United Kingdom) and between Ponta Delgada and Milan (Italy).
“Both London and Milan are very relevant source markets. Milan is a long-identified opportunity, considering the interest already expressed in the Azores destination. London is a traffic confluence point with enormous potential. With these two operations, Azores Airlines provides more options to passengers residing in the Azores, as well as new opportunities for connecting traffic, which has been increasingly and steadily using airline connections to reach North America and Europe”, says Teresa Gonçalves, CEO of Azores Airlines and SATA Group.
These two air operations will last until the end of September. Flights between the Azores and London start on June 4 and will occur twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with departures from Ponta Delgada at 7:50 a.m. and departure from London at 1:35 p.m. (local time).
The operation and direct flights between the Azores and Milan, starting on June 5, will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays, departing from Ponta Delgada at 7:25 a.m. and departing from Milan at 2:20 p.m. (local time).
