Azores Airlines will enhance its flight connections between Terceira Island and the United States of America (New York) starting on October 28, 2024, by introducing a new flight between Terceira Island and the city of New York and extending the Terceira <> Boston route during the IATA winter period, as it has been since last winter.
The expansion of the international operation is complemented by the enhancement of the domestic operation, specifically through the enhancement of availability with a weekly flight between Lisbon and Terceira Island, and two weekly flights between Terceira Island and the city of Porto, in response to the increased demand on these routes.
The airline intends to maintain consistency in its offer between North America and Terceira Island with this increase in flights in the IATA winter season.
On the other hand, Azores Airlines is improving its presence in Porto, a significant issuing market, by consistently enhancing its domestic flight offer (Terceira and São Miguel) and diversifying its offer beyond the city of Porto, considering the possibility of connecting with the rest of the airline's network, particularly with Boston.
With this reinforcement in its operation, Azores Airlines will offer next winter a Terceira <> Boston direct weekly flight, a Terceira <> New York direct weekly flight, four Terceira <> Porto weekly flights, and seven weekly flights between Lisbon and Terceira.
