Azores Airlines and SATA Air Açores will offer around 35,000 seats between 28 February and 4 March.
Azores Airlines will strengthen its operation during the Carnival season with four additional flights between Lisbon and Ponta Delgada on 28 February and 4 March in response to the increasing demand for flights to the Azores archipelago.
The first extra flight leaves Lisbon at 11.50 am (local time) and Ponta Delgada at 3.20 pm (local time) on 28 February. The second connection reinforces the operation on 4 March, with departures from Lisbon at 16:30 and from Ponta Delgada at 20:00 (local time).
With this reinforcement, the airline offers 672 more seats out of 23,585 to the Azores during the Carnival season. Azores Airlines connects three airports on the Portuguese mainland (Lisbon, Porto and Faro) to the Azores and serves five gateways in the Azores archipelago: Ponta Delgada, Santa Maria, Terceira, Faial and Pico.
For its part, SATA Air Açores had already strengthened its operation by introducing one more frequency between the islands of São Miguel and Pico, totalling an operation with 170 more flights and around 12,000 seats on offer. The additional capacity is already available so interested passengers can make their reservations.
The airlines constantly monitor the evolution of demand and endeavour to introduce additional capacity whenever possible.
The Carnival 2025 operation, which runs from 28 February to 4 March, will include 134 flights on the domestic network and more than 170 flights on the inter-island network.
