AZORES AIRLINES ANNOUNCES INCREASE OF ITS DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL AIR OPERATIONS WITH PORTO
• Three new routes between Porto and North America.
• Weekly flights increasing between the Azores and Porto.
Azores Airlines has just announced the strengthening of its domestic and international air operation to the City of Porto, beginning the next IATA Winter (which starts in October and runs until March) with the launch of six international multi-leg flights (via the Azores) between Porto and the North American cities of Boston, New York (JFK), and Toronto. Besides that, the airline will also increase direct flights between Porto and the Azores (Terceira and São Miguel Islands) with the offer of 30 weekly flights, representing an increase of 24% compared to the same period in 2022.
For Summer IATA 2024 (from March to October 2024), the offer is strengthened once again, with the operation reaching 42 weekly flights between Porto and the Azores (Terceira and São Miguel) and non-stop flights between Porto and North America (New York (JFK), Boston and Toronto) and vice versa. This offer will represent a 36% increase over the summer of 2023.
With this bet, the airline wants to continue to strengthen the direct air operation between the City of Porto and the archipelago of the Azores, as well as to improve the offer in Porto and the North American destination, a market it has been flying for more than two decades, presenting a practical alternative for those who desire to travel between the North American and European continents.
